One advantage you didn't mention is the quiet. Papers have no fans, no hard drives, no IM alerts. On a quiet Sunday you can sit in your lounge room with a coffee and the only sounds are the turning pages and the occasional ping as the espresso machine cools down (if you're a yuppie like me that has their own espresso machine). Nice!

I think online readability could be a whole lot better if readability was the prime consideration, rather than "how to get users to click on the ads" or "microtext because designers seem obsessed with it even though they know better". 

Maybe the world needs a renaissance of readability. We'll conquer the world, one user stylesheet at a time. The sad fact is many sites are only readable if you use their print preview...</description>
